Stayed here over the summer and it was a great experience. Was seeing a Billy Talent concert nearby and the band was actually staying at the hotel too. (we picked a good place to stay), plus it was very clean!
The hotel is tidy. It's rundown though and could use some updating, particularly regarding the meeting rooms on the second floor. Staff was friendly and the front desk always had someone available which isn't something that can be said for some chain hotels. A bit of attention to fixtures and the corners of ceilings and baseboards could also help keep the place looking a bit sharper.
My stay was pretty good. The rooms are pretty standard, as is the service. My only two criticism I have are that our card keys deactivated prematurely and the breakfast area gets pretty crowded, but other than that, my stay was fine.
Great room with a beautiful view of the lake. We were upgraded to a complimentary king bed suite. However, the shower head was broken and the sound from the next room was extremely apparent. The interior could be renovated to add better sound proofing.
Its a very average hotel. We decided to stay here because its not far from sandbanks and we needed a last minute play to stay for 2-3 days that accept dogs. The hotel is at a good place because its close to parks and you can walk around. The employees were nice in general but one of them didnt really listen to our requests. We asked not to be charged on our credit card and she did it anyway and we asked for new towels and she forgot to bring it To us ...also for 150$ a night it should be nicer in the rooms and much cleaner. There are spiders in the rooms and weird spots on the bed and chair .. there was hair in the shower that wasnt ours.. and the elevator of the building is way too slow. Our room cards were always disfunctional so we had to go back to the reception all the time and we had trouble opening the door to our room. For the gym it was okay. Also we dont know why but the cleaning wasnt done for 2 days in our room. We understand that we were still in our room in the afternoon but they should at least change our towels .. anyways it was very average for the price paid and we had problems so we wont return.
