I've been taking my father to John's since Dad moved to a retirement residence in Belleville. He was delighted to find an real barber, he enjoys talking with him and the short back and sides haircut is perfect for a retired navy man. John also trims his sideburns, eyebrows and ears. Just had my first cut with John, today. His shop has a real, classic charm to it, and he's extremely personable.Some of you will know what I'm talking about when I say how hard it is to find the 'right' barber in a new town? I get my hair cut here once a month, John is amazing and it is always very affordable! I usually spend $20 with a tip and every time I go in, John (The Barber) is extremely friendly and very talkative. I recommend John's Hair Quarters to anyone looking for an old school barber shop with exceptional service and quality!

Full review of the eventsAmazing shop, Fun looking place, exactly what you want to see in a barber shop, I recently (Oct12, 2016) had John cut my hair. We had a fun conversation & im not huge on style but i pointed to a picture of what i wanted and then he proceeded to cut my hair. It was rough & tactless, done by a man who either lost all love for his profession or cares little about their customer. 90% of his cut was with electric trimmers, i also let this kindly voiced yet unskilled gentleman cut my beard. This was a mistake as he only used electric trimmers and i could of done that at home, by myself! I had hair covering my collar, he didn't even bother to brush it off before i left. The sides of my hair cut were not properly blended, i finished that at home in front of a mirror..... my beard was not symmetrical so i fixed that as best i could, i will just have to wait for it to grow back a bit before i can get it to were it used to be. The cut was Uneven and careless and on top of that you were rough. *John, your a good guy but the way you went about your business with me stuck a nerve with me, and it brings me alot of joy knowing that after your 33 years of cutting hair, you hate every minute of it, (or you were just never any good at it) I wish you all the best!
